Parkinson Group (Aust) has in place an Occupational Health and Safety Manual which complies with the Occupational Health and Safety ACT (2004) Section A, the Part III - General Provisions Relating to Occupational Health & Safety - Duties of Employers Sections 21-23. The company also complies with VICRoads Contractor Requirements for Occupational Health and Safety.

Safety training and induction procedures are both an integral part of labour hire and maintenance operations.
All staff are fully equipped with safety apparel prior to arrival on site and are required to know and comply with all safety requirements of the relevant Acts, Codes of Practice, and of our clients.
Parkinson Group (Aust) treats Health and Safety as one of its key performance indicators. The company's safety manual is an integral component of all company works. It takes into account hazard identification prior to works, employee training and inductions, and post accident and emergency procedures. The safety manual has been externally audited and approved by VicRoads.
The company's OH&S representative internally audits all company works on a regular basis. Findings of these audits are discussed between the OH&S representative and the works foreman and may be followed by a site safety meeting to reinforce safety issues with all employees.
The control of Sub-Contractors shall be maintained in accordance with the companies Safety Manual and the requirements set down in the assessment of sub-contractors' procedures. All sub-contractors are expected to perform to the same standards set for Parkinson Group (Aust) employees and are required to undertake the same safety induction as company employees. |
